Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about partnering with RankREI, including territory licensing, revenue share, lead qualification, SEO, and operator requirements.
Who owns the domain and website?
RankREI retains full ownership of all domains, websites, and digital assets. Approved operators receive a revocable license to receive and work leads generated through these platforms. This ensures quality control and allows us to maintain the infrastructure that drives results.
What is a qualified lead?
A qualified lead is a real seller lead form submission with valid contact information, or a phone call to the tracked phone number associated with the site. Spam, bot submissions, fraudulent entries, and wrong-number calls are excluded. The same phone number or email within 90 days is treated as a duplicate unless it involves a new property. RankREI has final discretion on lead qualification.
Is there geographic exclusivity?
Yes. We license one operator per territory. Territory boundaries are defined by county and/or ZIP codes as listed in Exhibit A of the Operator Agreement. RankREI may adjust boundaries with notice to better match consumer search behavior and service area realities.
What happens if I underperform?
If performance standards are not met, the enforcement path begins with a 30-day performance notice, followed by a 60-day probation period. Territory reassignment is at RankREI's discretion if improvement is not shown. If 15 qualified leads are delivered with zero closings, an automatic performance review is triggered. Repeated violations may result in agreement termination.
How is performance measured?
We track a 15% minimum close rate over a trailing 6-month period, or a minimum of 3 closed transactions per 6 months, whichever threshold is lower. Average response time should be within 30 minutes, with a minimum of 3 contact attempts within the first 7 days of receiving a lead. Lead statuses must be updated in the built-in CRM within 7 days of intake.
How are deals verified?
Operators provide closing documentation such as closing disclosures, settlement statements, assignment contracts, or MLS closing confirmations. RankREI may audit CRM and closing documentation no more than 2 times annually unless fraud is suspected. Operators must cooperate within 10 business days of an audit request.
How does PPC work alongside organic leads?
PPC is allowed only with designated landing pages built for tracking. Dedicated PPC URLs, UTMs, and PPC call tracking are required. Operators keep PPC leads if clearly confirmed as PPC leads they paid for. If attribution is unclear, the lead is presumed to be RankREI-originated. We collaborate with operators to set PPC tracking up correctly.
Can I keep my existing website?
Yes, on a case-by-case basis. If you already have a website you are happy with in terms of design and functionality, we will evaluate it and determine whether it makes sense to build on what you have rather than deploy a new site. When your existing site is deemed the best option for the territory, we will work with it directly.
What type of SEO do you do?
We do both on-page and off-page SEO extensively. On-page, we optimize site architecture, content, meta data, internal linking, schema markup, and page speed. Off-page, we build high-quality backlinks, citations, and authority signals to increase domain rating. Our strategy targets high-volume, high-intent keywords in your territory so your site outranks competitors and captures motivated seller traffic consistently.
Can I buy out a territory later?
Territory buyout options are not part of the standard agreement. However, RankREI is open to discussing long-term arrangements with high-performing operators. These conversations happen on a case-by-case basis after a proven track record of performance.
Are you a franchise?
No. RankREI is not a franchise. There is no franchise fee, no royalty on unrelated business, and no franchise disclosure document. The only revenue share applies to transactions directly attributable to RankREI-generated leads. We are a digital territory licensing and lead infrastructure company.
